11 Online Marketing Blogs To Help You Beat Up The Internet

Internet Marketing

There’s no shortage of online marketing blogs to follow these days. The rate at which content is churned out is pretty alarming and even an experienced consumer will occasionally have a hard time deciding what blogs are worth their time.

That’s not to mention that if you take a break from reading for a few months and are looking to get back into it, your favorite bloggers may have become inactive.

We’ve got a solution for you: Use this list!

As for Internet marketing, the following blogs are the best and most qualified candidates for your attention. They’ll help you get ready for what lies ahead. Lace up your gloves and get ready to beat up the internet folks.

The folks at Wordstream are both talented and motivated. As you might have guessed, that makes for a great blog. Voted one of the fastest-growing companies in 2013, they’ve hardly slowed down. There’s at least one new post every weekday, and they cover a wide variety of online marketing topics. There’s something for everyone here.

Seer Interactive has one of the most visually-impressive blogs out there, hands down. It’s got interactive and animated elements galore, and it makes for a pleasant experience. Luckily, in this case, you can judge a book by its cover. Useful content abounds and updates don’t get published every day, there are usually a few each week. Read their guides to brush up on your marketing chops and improve your marketing strategies.

Short and sweet is the name of the game here. Gary is an accomplished investor, marketer, and just an all-around business-savvy guy. His posts are often 2-minute reads, but getting little snippets of a brilliant mind can be extremely valuable! Don’t overlook this one!

This marketing team has been at it for a while and is a pretty sizable outfit nowadays. Jim Boykin (founder and CEO) has been an influential leader in the SEO community for a number of years, and this blog is an appropriate display of his commitment to quality.

The Online Marketing Institute is a bit more than a blog… just a bit. It’s actually an online university for all things marketing and business-related. Classes are behind a modest paywall (which is worth it for almost anyone that actually takes the time to participate in one of the classes), but the blog is, of course, open to the public. It’ll help you keep up to date with what’s working in online marketing overall.

Matt McGee is a name you’ll see pretty often when perusing online marketing blogs and forums. He’s responsible for Marketing Land and has created a great news outlet for marketers to keep up with any number of verticals. Less focused on guides or strategies, this blog is more akin to a newspaper. Check it daily for the latest noteworthy news.

This is the most popular PPC blog in the world, so if you have or are going to have a PPC budget, you better believe it’s worth your time to familiarize yourself with this one. It is pretty focused so this may not be the blog for everyone. Still, it's an incredibly well-done entry in an important niche that doesn’t get enough love in the majority of online marketing blogs.

8.  Bluleadz

Top-notch material aimed at you, the motivated, enthusiastic, and soon-to-be master inbound marketer. Posts with a specific question for a headline are among my favorites as they are extremely focused and actionable. Given the amount of archived content here, you can be sure to find at least a few reads that will apply directly to you.

9. HubSpot

Hubspot has grown into a lot more than just a marketing blog, but it’s still possibly the most important online marketing blog out there. There is never a shortage of great content being shared by the creators of inbound marketing, so strap yourself in and hang on. If you’ve never visited Hubspot before, you’re in for a trip.

Quick Sprout is the brainchild of internet mastermind Neil Patel. He’s been instrumental in a number of different internet projects you’ve probably heard of- KISSmetrics and Crazy Egg to name a few. There are a huge number of video guides available for free, and that’s just the beginning. There’s a lot to be learned at Quick Sprout, expect to lose a few hours the first time you visit.
